7:30 PM — Doors open, casual socializing
8:00 PM — Explorations in Lizardivinity — Derived from apocryphal Disco Reptilian "skins"* that contained reptilian adaptations of the rites of the Ancient Lemewrian Cat Priestesses, the audience will engage in interpretive forbidden reptile movements within the "Sanctum of Holofelinity", a "Purrburative" soundbath with the Catolith Space Cat Idols. David Normal will lead a demonstration of geometric "Purrambulations" within the Cathenge Space Cat Temple at Spire.
8:30 PM — Cathenge Mythos — Audiovisual delve into 200,000+ Earth years of Space Cat History in two different star systems with a special focus on the Disco Reptilians, the "fun loving" race of intensely sadistic Reptiloid beings from Planet FUBAR who are the sworn enemies of the Lyran Cat People.
9:00 PM — Question and Answer, informal discussion of Holofeline Technologies and immersive art techniques.
9:15 PM — Reptilian Cotillion — Experience authentic Disco Reptilian dance music through the Surround-A-Purr Sound System.
10:00 PM — Event concludes.
About
Spire Space Cat Session II is the second of an ongoing series of Cathenge/Crazyology events exploring "Holofelinity, the Universal Cat Consciousness". This is a manifestation of Crazyology's ongoing immersive art project "Cathenge", a set of 6 interactive immersive 3D printed Space Cat Idols known as the "Catoliths". The Cathenge Cat Temple installation was first presented at Burning Man 2019 and was SF Arts Commission public art at Patricia's Green Park in Hayes Valley from 2022 - 2024.
This continuously evolving art installation is complemented by an epic sci-fi myth backstory about the Lyran Space Cats, their battles with Disco-Reptilians, the downfall of Space Cat Civilization, the transubstantiation of the Cat Priestesshood of Pussiopolis to Planet Earth, and the creation of mankind (as a pro-wrestling species), and how these events resonate even today in our contemporary world. The Space Cat Sessions provide an opportunity to experience Cathenge and explore the Cathenge Mythos directly.
Cathenge is technology art. The Space Cat Sessions provide opportunities for artists and technologists to gather and explore ideas about immersive and interactive art engineering with Cathenge a prime example of the genre. Discussion of how to enhance Cathenge with new features is encouraged, as well as exploration of new ideas and inspirations for technology art generally.
The Cathenge Mythos is Metaphysics. The Space Cat Sessions provide an opportunity to explore the mythical and metaphysical ideas and practices that inspire the Space Cat Temple. "Mind over Matter through the Power of Pleasure" is the timeless maxim of the Lyran Space Cats. This Law of Attraction inspired philosophy is expressed in concepts like "Holofelinity", "The Nine Cat Chakras", "The Purrrgasm" and the "Cat Priestesshood of Pussiopolis". The Sessions invite the spiritually minded to explore and evolve these concepts co-creatively through practices such as "Holoplasmic Movement" and "Cat Chakra Meditation" (and more to be discovered and developed).
The Spire Space Cat Sessions are (more or less) monthly presentations at Spire the Church. The goal is to evolve and vary each session with new developments in Space Cat Technology and Metaphysics. This is an opportunity for creative collaboration in immersive art, dance and theater, ritual, music and applications of advanced technology to art. Possible developments include:
- Re-enactments of key historical events from Space Cat History
- Endowment of the Catolith Space Cat Idols with Artificial Intelligence
- Training in Holoplasmic Movement
- Choreographed Space Cat Dances of the Cat Priestesshood of Pussiopolis
- Cat Priestess Fashion Shows
- Indulgence in Pizzazzium
- Live music performances amplified through the "Surround-a-Purr" six point sound system

*"Skins": A recent discovery of petrified Disco Reptilian revealed that the Reptilians used their own skins as a substrate for written records. The evidence seems to suggest that the Space Lizards skinned one another to obtain "parchment" for writing. The endodermis was inscribed with their peculiar cuneiform and then tanned or cured. These skins survive as solid stone, an extremely permanent place of record.
